UI Challenges
These are a series of online Design Challenges that gives topics for users to work on. The theme for each individual days have been labelled accordingly
UBIQ Watches
UBIQ Watches is a homegrown watch brand founded in 2024, embodying the values of vibrancy, playfulness, and creativity. UBIQ Watches offers unique, expressive, and dynamic pieces catering to individuals who appreciate bold aesthetics and innovative craftsmanship.
The initial design was proposed to kickstart a direction it can head towards.
I am tasked with creating a website base layout to kickstart the brand with its first series: DUAL SERIES 01.
We discussed the website flow, and outlining how users will navigate through the site. The conversation included key pages, functionalities, and overall user experience. Additionally, the client also provided screenshots from existing companies to illustrate the design direction and features they prefer.
WIREFRAME & PLANNING
Started with rough sketches and low-fidelity wireframes, the key pages such as homepage and watch purchase page have been drawn out.
Through iterations and feedback, I refine the design, adding visual elements while making the high fidelity wireframes.
CREATING PROTOTYPE
Once satisfied with the wireframes, these are transitioned into high-fidelity mockups. With the vibrant vibe that was proposed, I decided to color code the background based on the watch design. The design also showcase each feature of the watch and highlight their details.
HIGH FIDELITY MOCK UP
A mock-up has been created for the client using Adobe XD. This mock-up visually represents the final product, allowing the client to see the layout, user flow, and overall design aesthetics before development begins.
TRANSFERRING TO SHOPIFY
Running on Shopify, the website design is then transferred onto the platform. Once the design is in place, basic CSS coding is applied to enhance the visual appeal and functionality of certain features.
As of today, the direction has slightly changed, but it is still an honour to work on the launch/starting of a website. Hopefully I am able to work on a project where I am able to do UX research too.
